KaroroKITE Rhino Plugin

For the design of modern SLE style kitesurfing kites KaroroKITE is the first of a new generation of kite design tools. Running within Rhino3D, KaroroKITE features an easy to understand user interface making it quick to access all the parameters needed to define your kite. By leveraging the power of Rhino3D as its 3D engine, KaroroCAD features mathematically accurate, NURBs based surfacing (not meshes). This leads to all parts being close fit with no post processing or fit factors required in the design process. AI based Bridle tuning - KaroroKITE bridles are developed using a very powerful Physics Simulation engine linked to an AI based search algorithm. Allowing the designer to set a smooth distribution of loads and leveraging the power of modern computing to discover the best solution.

KaroroWING Rhino Plugin

Released in 2023, KaroroWING is a separate branch of the KaroroCAD code to match the requirements of Wing design and building. KaroroWING uses the same easy to understand user interface as KaroroKITE, but with unique tools built just for Wing design.

Running 100% within the web browser, KaroroCAD.online kite designer is a free to access version of KaroroKITE that allows anyone to explore the world of kite design from their desktop, phone or tablet.

Production Ready file delivery

KaroroCAD supplies all data needed for successful assembly of the Kite or Wing. Seam allowances, panel markings and seam alignment marks are all automatically created. Each set of output geometry is assigned its own layer on export to Rhino - making post processing easy to manage if required.
